Mr Chang has nearly 20 years of corporate banking and risk management experiences with large international and Chinese banks. Since the 1990s, he has held various positions with HSBC and Citi in the US, Korea, mainland China and the Macau/Hong Kong regions. His previous roles included Corporate Banking Manager, Trade Services Head, Electronic Banking Dept Head, Senior VP of Payments Systems Risk Management, Director of Risk Management in Trade and Cash Products, Director of Risk Management in Private Banking, Capital Market Approval Committee Coordinator, Citi Korea Board of Directors Risk Management Committee Secretary, etc. Between 2008 and 2013, Mr Chang was seconded to China Guangfa Bank (total asset USD280 billion at end of 2015) as a Citi consultant to revamp risk processes, establish product management structure, review large credit and capital market transactions and advice CRO on wealth management, corporate loan and capital market products.

Since March 2013, Mr Chang has become a full time training facilitator and consultant in the financial industry. He has conducted numerous professional training sessions on risk management, financial products and business development to financial institutions worldwide including Citibank, HSBC, China Guangfa Bank, Guangfa Securities, China Bohai Bank, Bank of Jiangxi, and various city commercial banks, rural credit unions, guarantee companies and leasing companies. His classes have been held in many parts of the world including USA, China, Spain, Turkey, Taiwan, India, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, etc. He also serves as an IFC expert on risk management consulting projects.

Mr Chang is able to merge the advanced technical skills from the international financial industry with the domestic market reality into his training. Using his interactive and humorous guided discussion approach, together with international and local real cases, he can put theories and practices into one, allowing participants to learn in a fun, interactive atmosphere and apply the learning right in class as well as in daily practices.

Mr Chang has an MBA degree from the University of Texas at Austin and is a CFA charter holder. Having lived in New York, Seoul, Osaka, London and Guangzhou, he speaks fluent English and Chinese (both Mandarin and Cantonese). Mr Chang is currently living in the USA and dedicating his full time in consulting and training on risk management, financial products and business development worldwide.

Mr Danny Law is an experienced bank manager in the area of internal control and audit with multiple years of experiences with financial institutions in North America, mainland China and other parts of Asia. Since joining Citibank in the 80s, he has held senior management roles in Citibank Hong Kong, Citibank Toronto and Citibank Singapore. In 2004, Mr Law joined Citibank’s regional Audit Headquarter responsible for auditing Citibank offices in the Asia/Pacific region. In 2009, Mr Law was seconded to China Guangfa Bank as a senior Citi consultant to revamp the audit function and improve the internal control of core business and operations. Over the span of 7 years, he successfully established 3 regional audit centers which centralize the audit function from branches. He also introduced an advanced audit tool (TeamMate) to standardize the audit process. Under his guidance, the offsite monitoring system was set up to strengthen data analysis. He also spearheaded the branch self-assessment initiative and established the corrective action tracking process on identified issues.

Mr Law obtained his honorable Bachelor’s Degree of Computer Science from University of Windsor. His professional certification includes Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Information Systems Security Professional and Fellowship of The Institute of Canadian Banker. Through his advisory and training services, Mr Law helps domestic banks to improve their internal control and audit functions by integrating advanced theories and practices overseas into the domestic realities.

Dan Massey has extensive global banking, risk management and corporate governance experience including over 40 years with Citibank. He retired from Citibank in 2017 where he was most recently Managing Director and Chief Risk Officer and head of Independent Risk for Citibank’s United States Commercial Bank. Prior to his return to the US in 2013 Dan was Chief Risk Officer and a member of the Management Board of Bank Handlowy Warsaw, a Polish banking company listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange with 75% ownership by Citibank NA.

He additionally had credit risk management responsibility for Citigroup’s Corporate and Investment Banking activities in Central and Eastern Europe and the CIS. Before joining Bank Handowy in 2010 Dan was Chief Risk Officer and an Executive Director of China Guangfa Bank, a Guangzhou, China based national commercial bank. He joined China Guangfa in December 2006 when Citibank made a strategic investment in Guangdong Development Bank.

Prior to joining China Guangfa Dan was Managing Director in Citibank’s Corporate and Investment Bank in New York where he was responsible for Risk Strategy and Planning and Citigroup’s global credit exposure to Sovereigns and the Public Sector. Previously Dan was in London with responsibility for credit approval and portfolio management of Citigroup’s global credit exposures in Technology, Media and Telecommunications, Shipping and Logistics and European leveraged Finance. Before London, Dan spent four years in Hong Kong as the senior credit officer for the Corporate and Investment Bank in Asia Pacific, and three years as Executive Director of Credit Risk Management at Citibank Mexico, S.A. He previously served as President and Chief Operating Officer of AMBAC, a municipal bond financial guaranty insurance firm listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

Dan earlier managed a variety of businesses for Citibank in New York where he gained experience in corporate finance and credit portfolio management. He had direct responsibility for a wide variety of complex financings including leveraged buyouts and middle-market secured lending. He was involved in early stage development of securitization techniques in the consumer and corporate asset-backed finance markets. He had direct experience in consumer lending early in his career.

A graduate of Randolph-Macon College in Political Science, Dan did graduate work in Corporate Finance at Georgia State University and at New York University. He served as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy.
